Pre OP Directions

We are pleased you have elected to have your surgical procedure performed at Orthopaedic ASC of Springfield, and are confident you will have the best surgical experience possible.

Your physician will discuss your surgery with you during your office visit, and your surgical appointment will be scheduled at that time. Be sure to tell your doctor about any existing medical conditions and any medications that you are currently taking.

After your surgery is scheduled, you may either visit the surgery center for a pre-admission assessment or you will receive a phone call from a member of our nursing staff to obtain a basic health history and review your preoperative instructions. We will arrange for any diagnostic tests that your doctor may have ordered to be completed. Our nurse will inform you of the time you are to arrive at the Center on the day of your surgery.

At your pre-admission visit you will be able to talk with a member of our business office staff regarding your insurance coverage and your portion of the bill. They will discuss the fee for your surgery, as well as your co-payment, co-insurance, or deductible with you.

Before surgery, you should follow these important safety rules. If you do not follow these guidelines your operation may have to be delayed or cancelled.
